My Father, who art in Heaven, was a pastor, seminary trained.

As he wanted me to go into the ministry, he home schooled me in theology.

Around 1970 he said to me,

There will come a time when Christians will fall under the control of one man. They will apply the rod to others rather than to themselves. They will attempt to yoke everyone to their law. Then the people will listen; they will not listen to me now.

He then abruptly quit the ministry.

Honestly, I thought he was a bit crazy. Apparently not.
